The Golf Tournament, Mutton Bustin’, Miss Wild West Days, The Parade, Bathtub Races, Wild West Bull Fest, and various horse-related activities have made Wild West Days in Cave Creek, Arizona, an annual event people plan to visit for a weekend of great entertainment.

Celebrating Cave Creek's 25th AnniversaryWild West Days is hosted by the Cave Creek Chamber of Commerce. The Chamber’s members are composed of individuals residing in the Cave Creek and greater Foothills area. Membership is open to anyone who is interested, and who submits an application along with the current annual fee. The Board of Directors is a nine-person Committee who are elected by the membership and who manage several events throughout the year to benefit the Town of Cave Creek, its merchants, citizens and organizations. There are no paid members on the Board. All activities of the Chamber are conducted by the Board, with the assistance of other volunteers who share a common interest.

Wild West Days is a strong example of ordinary people in the community identifying a need to benefit the town, and working together to achieve a common goal that will generate tourism dollars and awareness of the Cave Creek area as a destination venue for great entertainment, shopping, dining and recreation.

The purpose of Wild West Days is to:

  1. Pig RacesProduce an event that demonstrates, promotes, and preserves the Western heritage of our unique communities in the Desert Foothills.
  2. Produce moderately-priced family-oriented events and entertainment that make a positive contribution to the local economy through increased tourism traffic. The hope is that in turn, merchant sales receipts increase, and provides an increase in our tax revenues. This event generates enough value to garner local advertising in the media, community-wide sponsorship and corporate sponsorship.
  3. While the focus of Wild West Days is to generate increased revenue dollars for our local economy, as well as to provide unique and notable entertainment worthy of national recognition, the annual Wild West Days event is also designed to funnel funds back into the Cave Creek Chamber of Commerce so that this organization may pursue its continued mission to the benefit, preservation and promotion of the Town of Cave Creek as a strong, vibrant and nationally recognized destination locale.
  4. This year, in its 9th annual celebration, Wild West Days has also decided to support the Luv Shack Ranch horse rescue, the Desert Foothills Community Association (DFCA),  and the 100 Club of Arizona, as its main charities. In addition, the event will provide charitable support to the many horse-related organizations throughout our community which do so much to preserve our independent Western lifestyle.
