The Event – Wild West Days
The annual Wild West Days celebration, held in Cave Creek, Arizona, during the first weekend of November, is a premiere destination event celebrating our grand Western heritage. Wild West Days is full of family entertainment and it is geared to benefit the citizens, merchants and organizations of the Town of Cave Creek, and the surrounding Desert Foothills area.
Wild West Days is hosted by the Cave Creek Merchants & Events Association (CCMEA)
Wild West Days is a strong example of ordinary people in the community identifying a need to benefit the town, and working together to achieve a common goal that will generate tourism dollars and awareness of the Cave Creek area as a destination venue for great entertainment, shopping, dining and recreation.
The purpose of Wild West Days is to:
- Produce an event that demonstrates, promotes, and preserves the Western heritage of our unique communities in the Desert Foothills.
- Produce moderately-priced family-oriented events and entertainment that make a positive contribution to the local economy through increased tourism traffic. The hope is that in turn, merchant sales receipts increase, and provides an increase in our tax revenues. This event generates enough value to garner local advertising in the media, community-wide sponsorship and corporate sponsorship.
- While the focus of Wild West Days is to generate increased revenue dollars for our local economy, as well as to provide unique and notable entertainment worthy of national recognition, preservation and promotion of the Town of Cave Creek as a strong, vibrant and nationally recognized destination locale.
