The Event – Wild West Days

bull watsui and carThe annual Wild West Days celebration, held in Cave Creek, Arizona, during the first weekend of November, is a premiere destination event celebrating our grand Western heritage. Wild West Days is full of family entertainment and it is geared to benefit the citizens, merchants and organizations of the Town of Cave Creek, and the surrounding Desert Foothills area.

Wild West Days is hosted by the Cave Creek Merchants & Events Association (CCMEA)

Wild West Days is a strong example of ordinary people in the community identifying a need to benefit the town, and working together to achieve a common goal that will generate tourism dollars and awareness of the Cave Creek area as a destination venue for great entertainment, shopping, dining and recreation.

 

   WILD WEST DAYS 2016 – SCHEDULE OF EVENTS

 

The purpose of Wild West Days is to:Pig Races event at wild west days

  1. Produce an event that demonstrates, promotes, and preserves the Western heritage of our unique communities in the Desert Foothills.
  2. Produce moderately-priced family-oriented events and entertainment that make a positive contribution to the local economy through increased tourism traffic. The hope is that in turn, merchant sales receipts increase, and provides an increase in our tax revenues. This event generates enough value to garner local advertising in the media, community-wide sponsorship and corporate sponsorship.
  3. While the focus of Wild West Days is to generate increased revenue dollars for our local economy, as well as to provide unique and notable entertainment worthy of national recognition,  preservation and promotion of the Town of Cave Creek as a strong, vibrant and nationally recognized destination locale.

About Us

The Prescott Regulators & Their Shady Ladies, Inc. (PRSL) are an award winning 501(c)(3) re-enactment group. We are privileged to be the “Official Old West Ambassadors of Prescott” and as such, for over 12 years have represented the City in parades, re-enactments and events around the State of Arizona.PRSL was honored to be chosen by the State of Arizona as one of only three Western re-enactment groups to perform at the State’s Centennial Celebration “BestFest,” both in Prescott and in Phoenix. PRSL has been honored by “True West Magazine” as the “Best In The West” re-enactment group twice in the last five years and we were further honored by the City of Prescott to host the “Western Area” of the City’s Sesquicentennial Celebration.PRSL has been privileged to plan the Western Area for the State’s Centennial, the City’s Sesquicentennial event, Western Heritage Days and, of course, the “Annual Shootout on Whiskey Row.”Public service, extensive and professional planning of events, the experience to make planned events a reality and, of course, award winning re-enactments are the hallmarks ot the Prescott Regulators & Their Shady Ladies, Inc.
